Vibration under acceleration but smooth when coasting – driveshaft?

This one has been driving me crazy for about a month. When I accelerate from a stop or going uphill, I feel a strong vibration through the floor and the steering wheel, but the moment I let off the gas and coast, everything goes perfectly smooth. I've balanced the tires twice, did an alignment, and even swapped the front wheels to the back but nothing changed. A friend who knows more than me said it sounds like a worn driveshaft or maybe a bad u joint. I need someone who can properly fix worn driveshaft Dubai because most shops I call just want to throw parts at it without diagnosing first. Found Dynostar's driveshaft page and they mention balancing and straightening which sounds like they actually understand driveline issues. Has anyone experienced this exact symptom and found it was the driveshaft? Really don't want to replace half the car chasing this problem.
