Proactive Management in Action
An example of a typical disk space alert is when a workstation storage drive fills up to 90%.
The RMM tools and PSA software system detects the storage threshold and automatically runs a disk cleanup script instead of waiting for the user's machine to freeze and initiate an emergency support call. The script clears the alert, removes temporary files, and checks for available space. It only notifies a human technician if the automated remediation is unsuccessful.
No manual ticket is ever recorded, and the user keeps working uninterrupted. The monotonous procedures that usually take up an IT team's day are silently absorbed by this automated loop when it is applied to the whole fleet of devices.
