Forza Horizon 6: Best Way to Unlock the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16
Forza Horizon series veterans know that nothing beats the thrill of hunting down a legendary car hidden away in an old, abandoned barn. In Forza Horizon 6, one of the coolest classics you can get your hands on this way is the iconic 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16.
If you are looking to add this absolute rally legend to your garage, you cannot just drive out to the woods and grab it right away. The game locks the event behind your campaign progression, so if you show up too early, you will just find an empty building.
Here is exactly how to unlock the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, find the hidden barn, and get it ready for the road.
Step 1: Reach Pathfinder Status
Before the game even triggers the rumors about this barn find, you need to prove your exploration skills. The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 is tied directly to your "Discover Japan" campaign rank. Specifically, you need to reach Discover Japan Level 4: Pathfinder.
You can keep an eye on your current progress by opening up your Collector's Journal and checking the Discover Japan menu. If you want to fast-track your way to Level 4, focus on these activities to stack up progression points quickly:

Story Missions: Look for the yellow icons on your map and knock those out first.

Racing: Jump into local Touge battles and standard road races.

Open-World Activities: Smash the regional mascots scattered around the map or take on some food delivery side-gigs.

Real Estate: Buy up player houses across the map whenever you have the extra cash, as this gives a nice boost to your progression.
Step 2: Locate the Barn in Shimanoyama
The moment you hit the Pathfinder tier, a purple search zone will pop up on your map, signaling that the hunt is on.
To find the barn, head over to the Shimanoyama region. You want to aim for the northeast corner of the designated search zone, right where a speed camera zone is located.
If you need a solid starting point, look for May's house on your map and head northwest from there. Keep your eyes peeled near the corner of the main road for a wide, ascending dirt path splitting off. Turn onto this dirt path and follow it straight up the short hill. The barn is situated right at the top and is clearly visible from the main road below if you know what to look for. Drive up to the doors to trigger the cutscene.
Step 3: Restore the Vehicle
After the cutscene plays out, the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 is officially yours and will be added to your collection. However, it is a bit of a fixer-upper, meaning you cannot take it out for a spin just yet. You have two options to get it restored:

The Patient Way (Free): Simply go back to playing the game. Go tackle other races, cruise around, and explore. The car will gradually repair itself in the background over time for absolutely free.
