Fastest Strategies for MLB The Show 26 Team Affinity

If you want to max out Team Affinity (TA) in MLB The Show 26 without wasting time, you need a clear plan. Focus on high-value early tasks, smart lineup stacking, and efficient grinding in hitter-friendly environments. Here’s how to do it like a pro.

1. Start With High-Value Tasks

Complete Moments First: Each division has a hitter and pitcher moment worth 10,000 points each. That’s an instant 20,000-point boost toward the 100,000-point goal. Knock these out early to set the foundation.

Prioritize WBC Programs: The World Baseball Classic content gives you diamond cards that make subsequent TA missions much easier. Completing these early ensures you’re grinding with top-tier players.

2. Use the “Jolt” Strategy

Each team has “Jolt” players—hitting and pitching captains that buff teammates in the same theme. Unlock these once you hit around 70,000 points to start the high-value Parallel XP (PXP) missions.

Stack Your Lineup: Fill your roster with players from the same team or division. This way, every hit, home run, or strikeout counts for multiple missions at once. For example, a full Reds lineup while pitching with a Cubs starter lets you hit mission objectives for both divisions.

Combine Divisions: Mix in players from different divisions strategically. This lets you progress in two divisions simultaneously without extra games.

3. Optimize Game Modes and Settings

Play vs. CPU on Rookie: Low-difficulty matchups like the Nationals or White Sox are perfect for racking up stats fast. You won’t waste time fighting AI difficulty.

Hitter-Friendly Stadiums: Use high-elevation stadiums like Shield Woods, Coors Field, or your own custom stadium with short fences (around 270 ft down the line) to hit more home runs and total bases.

Mini Seasons Loop: The Classic Mini Season is a repeatable way to earn packs and stubs while grinding stats. The WBC Mini Season is also a favorite because of its short length and extra pack rewards.

4. Fast Track With Stubs (Optional)

If you have extra Stubs to spare, exchanges are the quickest way to gain points. It’s expensive, but if time is your main resource, it’s the ultimate shortcut.

Combine Moments, Mini Seasons, and lineup stacking in the same play session. Every game should hit multiple missions at once to minimize grind time. Do this, and you’ll max Team Affinity in record time while grabbing valuable packs and stubs along the way.
