Does launching a Private Label Bath Salt Product work better with bulk sourcing?

Why Private Labeling Is the Secret Weapon for Modern Bath & Body Brands

I’m planning to introduce a Private Label Bath Salt Product and trying to figure out the best sourcing strategy. Some suppliers offer ready-made private label options, while others recommend starting with bath and body products in bulk and customizing from there.

During my research, Midwest Sea Salt Company appeared as a supplier that supports both private labeling and bulk ordering, which seems helpful for scaling. Still, I’m unsure which approach is more efficient in the long run.

For those who’ve launched private label bath products:

  • Did you start with bulk sourcing or fully private-labeled products?

  • Which option gave you better control over branding and costs?

Would love to hear experiences from anyone who’s been through this process.
