TM SIM Registration Process in the Philippines

TM SIM registration in the Philippines is an essential national requirement mandated under Republic Act No. 11934, also known as the SIM Registration Act, which aims to strengthen user protection, improve digital security, and prevent the growing number of mobile-related scams and fraudulent activities across the country. As part of this legal process, every tm check balance subscriberb whether using a new or existing SIM—is required to provide accurate and verifiable personal information, including their full name, birthday, gender, address, and nationality, along with a valid government-issued identification document such as a Philippine passport, driver’s license, national ID, voter’s ID, SSS or UMID card, postal ID, or any other acceptable form of official identification. The registration is performed online through Globe/TM’s secure registration portal, where users upload a clear photo of their ID and a real-time selfie to ensure that the person registering the SIM is the legitimate owner. For minors, the parent or legal guardian must register the SIM under their own name and take full responsibility for its use. During the process, TM emphasizes the confidentiality and security of user data, ensuring that all personal information collected is encrypted and stored in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Completing the SIM registration enables subscribers to continue enjoying uninterrupted access to all TM services such as calls, texts, mobile data, GCash verification, and various promo offers. Meanwhile, failure to register within the allotted period may result in automatic SIM deactivation, which disables all telecommunications services until proper registration is completed. Through this nationwide initiative, TM and the Philippine government aim to create a safer digital environment for all mobile users by promoting accountability and reducing opportunities for cybercriminals to exploit anonymous SIM cards. The TM SIM registration process therefore serves not only as a legal obligation but also as an important step toward building a secure, reliable, and responsible mobile community in the Philippines  .
